The CeBIT Asia business trade event in Shanghai this October is to focus on the China market’s giant logistics, automation and materials handing industry as the event again co-locates with the  CeMAT Asia Expo.

Carrying the global weight of the CeBIT brand, the CeBIT Asia involvement is building the brand into the ICT sectors’ engagement point for the China technology market.

But it is the event location with CeMAT Asia that is most exciting. CeMAT is also operated by Deutsche Messe AG, the world’s largest trade fair group.

As a materials handling expo, CeMAT is well positioned in the China market for its international and local exhibitors to service China’s voracious appetite for automation, transport & logistics products to support its booming manufacturing sector.

The CeBIT Asia international conference on Logostics and ICT will run on October 28-29 at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel and focuses exclusively on ICT application in the logistics sector.

The Logistics & ICT 2008 conference will provide an ideal platform for visitors to gain an u nderstanding into new frontiers – and scale – of the Asian-Pacific logistics business and the ICT industry this market presents.

The volume of goods being transported within the China market has risen dramatically year on year on the back of soaring imports and exports, with the logistics sector underpinning unprecedented growth.

The two day conference will discuss topics ranging from ICT and Modern Logistics Development, Development and Application of ICT in Large Logistics Enterprises, Retail Markets Requirements on ICT Application in Logistics, New Ideas and Innovations for Logistics ICT, Better ICT Development to Lower Cost and Raise Profits.

The event is being organised Hannover Fairs Shanghai, and will include the high-level involvement of BITKOM, the powerful ICT trade group in Germny.
